Mr. Latorre born in Mexico City (1973) and obtained his law degree from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City in 1996, coupled with a master’s degree and PHD studies in Private Law, both by the Autonomous University of Madrid. Mr. Latorre is member of the Mexican Bar Association and has collaborated with other large law firms in Mexico City and abroad, such as Martinez, Algaba, Estrella, De Haro & Galvan-Duque, S.C.; Laffan, Mues & Garay, S.C.; Sinclair, Roche & Temperley - London, England; Figaredo & Asociados, Madrid, Spain. From 1997 to 1999 he was Deputy Legal Manager of Compañia Trasatlantica Española, Madrid, Spain. In 2005 he founded the Firm Anciano & Latorre which is currently L&R. Fluent in English and Spanish. His legal practice focuses in corporate, commercial, retail and supply channels; finance law, fintech, wallet, and on-line payments; cross-border transactions; machinery & equipment finance and leasing; commodities repurchase or repos; maritime, shipping & admiralty law; marine insurance & reinsurance transactions. He has served and actually serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of several companies within the industrial, finance and services sectors. He has been practicing law for more than 26 years, representing several Mexican and foreign investors and financial institutions in credit and financing operations & restructuring, commodities repurchase transactions; shipping & admiralty casualties and losses acting on behalf of cargo’s consignees and several Mexican and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies. He has been referred by foreign law firms to act as representative of foreign entities for the solution of regulatory matters approaching private-foreign investors’ interest to Mexican’s Government policy affairs; and, finally, he has written different articles, essays, columnist, novels, and fiction stories, and invited as speaker on topics of his specialty before national and international forums.

RICARDO GÓMEZ-PALACIO DEL RÍO
Mr. Gomez-Palacio was born in Mexico City (1972) and obtained his law degree from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City in 1997. He received an LL.M. degree from University of Texas at Austin in 1998, and thereafter worked as a foreign associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP, in New York (1999). He joined Ritch Mueller S.C., a widely recognized Mexican firm, and became partner in 2006. In 2011 he decided to provide independent legal services, is a Partner at DRB Abogados and collaborates with L&R in particular cases and transactions. Fluent in Spanish and English. He is also a registered Mediator in Mexico and in the United States of America (Texas). Recognized by Chambers and Partners (2011) and Who´s Who Legal (2011) as a prominent attorney specialized in real estate, Ricardo Gomez-Palacio has represented Kimco Realty Corporation, the largest publicly traded owner and operator of shopping centers in North America in its investments in Mexico, as well as Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and other major financial institutions regarding Mexico asset-backed securitizations, and diverse funds and investors in connection with the acquisition, financing and development of high-end tourist destinations, resorts and condominiums operated by the most luxurious brands such as the Four Seasons. Ricardo Gomez-Palacio has published in the International Financial Law Review and has participated with the American Bar Association in cross-border conferences as a speaker. His practice also includes corporate law, antitrust, banking and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and aircraft finance.
